Fluoride is a trace element present in the constitution of teeth. It is present in certain mineral waters, fluoridated salts, toothpaste and some mouthwashes.
The main purpose of fluoride is to strengthen the enamel and is the most effective measure in toothpaste to prevent the development of cavities.
Be careful, its dosage must always be adapted to the age. Indeed, an overdose can lead to fluorosis during childhood on future permanent teeth.
