Athletes
43% of French people do sport at least once a week. While everyone knows its benefits on the body, few of you know that your oral health can impact your practice and affect your performance. A simple cavity can have consequences and maintain tendon and muscle problems. But that’s not all! An infectious problem, a cyst or an infection of the wisdom teeth will lead the bacteria to the most fragile places such as tendons or an injured muscle. Athletes, don’t forget your visits to the practice!
Do you want to protect your teeth during your sports practice? Why not opt for the mouthguard?

Teenagers
Adolescence is generally the age of snacking, sodas, sweets but also of dental hygiene that is not always good. And yet, during this crucial period in your child’s development, oral hygiene is of particular importance.
– This is often the age when wisdom teeth appear. More vulnerable to plaque and cavities, it is essential to brush teeth that have just erupted thoroughly.
– This is also the ideal time for orthodontic treatments! As plaque grows more and more under the braces, brushing is extremely important to avoid permanently marking the teeth.
– Finally, it is also the time of carelessness and the first stupidities… Cigarettes and piercings are therefore subjects to be discussed and on which it is important to communicate… even if it is not always easy to make our dear teenagers listen to reason!

Seniors
Poor oral hygiene can have serious health consequences… And this is all the more true among seniors!
– Maintain good hygiene! This advice is essential. Indeed, it has been proven that unhealthy bacteria in the mouth, beyond acting on your teeth and gums, can be linked to serious complications such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes or pneumonia. Daily brushing morning and evening is therefore very important…
– Being in pain is not normal! Dental problems can have many origins and it is therefore imperative to consult a doctor at the first pain.
– To maintain one’s teeth is to maintain one’s appetite… Undernutrition can quickly appear in the event of pain, missing teeth or unsuitable prostheses… Eating 3 times a day in a balanced way and drinking water is therefore a priority because undernutrition does not only happen to others!
– Take care of your prosthesis! If bacteria stick to your teeth, know that they do the same to your dentures. So remember to clean it simply with water, Marseille soap and a prosthesis brush…
