global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb theme_builder_area=\u00a0\u00bbpost_content\u00a0\u00bb sticky_enabled=\u00a0\u00bb0&Prime;]<p len=\"361\"><span lang=\"en\">These are multi-braces, or multi-brackets: dental appliances that are glued or sealed to the teeth.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">The metal wires connecting more or less flexible brackets, elastic rings and springs cause, thanks to forces dosed in an extremely precise way by your orthodontist, the planned tooth movements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p len=\"151\" lang=\"en\">Metal brackets, the most classic, are the brackets traditionally used in orthodontics before the invention of ceramic brackets.<\/p>\n<p len=\"190\"><span lang=\"en\">The ceramic versions are also very strong and do not stain the teeth.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">They are generally used more in adult orthodontics, as they are less visible than metal brackets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p len=\"259\"><span lang=\"en\">The brackets, also known as \u00ab\u00a0brackets\u00a0\u00bb or \u00ab\u00a0braces\u00a0\u00bb, can also be glued to the inside of the teeth, making the braces invisible when smiling.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">This technique is called \u00ab\u00a0lingual orthodontics\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p len=\"28\"><u len=\"21\" lang=\"en\">Elastics:<\/u><\/p>\n<p len=\"318\"><span lang=\"en\">They will be used to put the teeth of one arch \u00ab\u00a0in front\u00a0\u00bb of those of the other arch.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">They must therefore be worn day and night so that the traction they cause is continuous and effective.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">However, it is possible to remove them during meals, as long as they are put back on when finished.<\/span><\/p>\n<p len=\"152\" lang=\"en\">These elastics should be changed daily, and replaced as soon as they break, the ideal being to always keep a spare pack with you.<\/p>\n<p len=\"31\"><u len=\"24\" lang=\"en\">Anchor screws:<\/u><\/p>\n<p len=\"464\"><span lang=\"en\">The anchor screw appeared to be a real revolution.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">Previously, orthodontic treatment relied only on other properly installed teeth to correct the tooth alignment, which could have the adverse effect of moving the anchor tooth in the wrong direction to correct the others.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en\">Now, thanks to the anchor screw, the movement benefits from a stable support point, placed outside the moving teeth.<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=\u00a0\u00bb1_2&Prime;
